2011 was the year the whole world went mobile. We work more frequently from home, from the bus, train, while travelling.. We are constantly logged in to our email, Facebook, Twitter and in Sweden EVERYBODY got addicted to the brain exercise game Wordfeud. Here’s some insights and great stuff from 2011 that we would like to share with you all.
1. THE WORLD GOES MOBILE
According to our yearly customer survey, 28% of our European users have an iPhone while 24% prefers Android. As 80% also use laptops we consider our customers to be a very mobile group of professionals.
2. A TOOL FOR THE FUTURE
Last year, our development guys and girls focused on preparing our system for the future. We removed lots and lots of old frames and started to design and build our, soon to be launched, brand new support for Collaborative Planning. In June we launched the popular LIKE button in the tool, and everyone just love to like each others ideas and updates. After a request from our customers, Blue Ant became our partner in resource management. We also developed an iPad app, our second iPhone app(launch in January 2012) and released an Android app, all three focused on our most popular feature Documents.
3. EVOLUTION OF PROJECTS
We relaunched our popular Project Blog and our founder Mattias blogged about Social Project Management and the future of Project Management. Our Community Manager Karolina kept us updated on the latest product releases and told us how we handle the highly valued feedback from our users. Speaking of which, did you know that 12% of all ideas from our users has been implemented? And that 80% of our users are satisfied with our tool and get more efficient by using it?
4. OUR PROJECT EXPERTS
Of course we are very proud of our brilliant blogging project experts. Patrick Gray challenges traditional PM processes with his refreshing views on projects and collaboration. Maha Bouzeid is project expert from Ericsson and blogs about innovative businesses and passionate leadership.
5. NEW YEAR= NEW DESIGNS
Yes, we mean designs. This spring 2012, we launch a brand new design in the tool and on our web site. The new design is really cool and we know you will like it! Get a sneak peak of some sketches by our star designer Jimmy.
6. NEWS FLASH
Our biggest news in 2011 was of course about our new CEO, Johan Zetterström, with a background in Salesforce -
one of the most inspiring cloud companies in the world. In November we passed the 700 000 users mark and set the goal for 1 million. We also found out that Europeans relax better when they check their emails during vacation. And our biggest media hit ever was when we played with post it notes and started the post it war movement in Sweden.
We really look forward to 2012 as this will be a really eventful year for us and for our users. So, buckle up, here we go!
